Wisdom is knowledge in action.
Free Activist Witchcamp is a fiery community made up of activists in every sense of the word street protestors and holistic health practitioners, permaculturists and musicians, radical faeries and mothers with babes in arms. We represent a smattering of priestesses from many different magical communities around the world. We come together to make magic and music, cook up visions and nourish ourselves, and to heal one another and the earth.
Healing and Ecstasy through Transformational Breath® and Sacred Sound Voyages
Facilitated by Peti Songcatcher and Taica Patience
My name is Peti. I'm a Witch, I'm a Singer, I'm a Traveler, and live in the Northern Part of Germany in the woods; enjoy very much the cycle of life in nature and in my own one. I am mother and grandmother, this circle is perfect in my life and I love it. One fine day I found this sentence in a flyer: "Maybe this camp will change your life" - I couldn't resist and joined in my first 'Hexencamp', the European Loreley Reclaiming Witchcamp in the Netherlands. Since that time I attended many Camps - Spanish Wintercamp, Dreamroads, Free Activist Witchcamp - as participant, organizer and supporter. I see myself as a webspinner, love to support and to hold the web, to be a part of our lovely community wherever I am. And yes, I love to sing, to share songs and magic, to bring people together, to instigate and to manifest. Some people call me 'song collector' - and I am looking forward to sing and share with you and you and you, very soon. I'm so excited and grateful! Peti's Website.
- I am Taica, mother of Luna. When someone asked me if I was a witch 25 years ago, the answer was a resounding "yes". Then I sought to find out what that meant, through reading The Spiral Dance, and I saw that it had been the Goddess answering with my true name. I cultivate a throughout-the-day practice using a wide selection of spiritual tools to remember the truth of who I am, to live in deep integrity, to be an awake parent and to put spirituality at the forefront of every moment. I have been weaving magic with Reclaiming for over 20 years since Canada Witch Camp in 1989. Learning and practicing the art of Priestessing and facilitating the emergence of innate balance and beauty in people, groups and the world have ever been passions. I have been a Transformational Breath facilitator with individuals and groups for six years. I am an ordained Metaphysical Minister, a graduate of the Priestess Path Apprenticeship, and a New Thought Practitioner; as well as being an instructor for a local Practitioner program this last year. I am most joyful with loved ones in sacred circles, wild places, co-created song, crafting, and the kitchen. My skills are well developed in compassion, patience, forgiveness, clear and loving communication, and creating a sacred container for deep work. Taica's Website

- I am addicted to ecstatic transformative ritual and deep personal magic, and rejoice in sharing my passion for connecting to the divine through music, dance, and song. A life long activist, I am honored to work with Bread and Puppet, Mugwort, the Wild Turtles, and Shut it (VT Yankee) Down Now, and facilitate non-violent direct action prep. sessions with the New England Non-Violence Educators Collective. With Kidsfest, I help create large public rituals that gather the community to turn the wheel and honor the seasons. A song catcher, fire spinner, green witch and moon dancer, I am a member of a newly forming West African Dance and Culture Troupe. I teach magic, Hebrew, English, and kids of all ages in my local community and have taught at, and help organize, Vermont and Free Activist Witch Camps. I am bicoastal, living in the Bay Area of California and with my family on an organic farm in Vermont where she delights in the fireflies, fey, and elements of nature. I look forward to gathering with you around the fire; asking questions, telling stories, and creating a place where the impossible becomes possible.

- I’m Carissa - mother -witch -dyke -activist –poet. I answer an Ancient Mother's call to meditate with my eyes wide open, hear poetry in whispering leaves, learn from my children, speak my truth, and work for peace and justice one homemade granola bar at a time. My witchy roots go back 21 years to a circle of strong Dianic women and a deep-seeded commitment to living my belief in an immanent Goddess. I came into Reclaiming through the pagan cluster eight years ago and still have a deep love of sidewalk chalk, street magic, and meals shared out of potluck backpacks. In my priestessing work, I have facilitated public rituals and workshops in the spirit of service with the belief that together we can change the worlds. I enjoy blending poetic spoken word with magic to create invocations, spell work, and rhythmic trance. I love using improvisation to create spaces where community can co-create magic and move energy. I believe that creating sacred spaces to nurture both children and adults in community is vitally important in creating cultures of beauty, justice and peace. These days the mystery of language calls ever more loudly to my soul. I am awed by the power of words to shape our very reality. In the framing of a simple sentence, lies the power to harm or heal. This magic moves me to study the interplay of communication between self, others and the world as I look for ways and words to connect more fully with life in all its chaos and beauty. I am passionate about this work – flinging myself open – impaling myself with wide-open eyes on my authentic life – rife with contradictions, possibilities, Mystery, beauty, and amazing, inspiring PEOPLE!
has been making magic with the Reclaiming Community for over ten years, when she first stepped through the spiral portal at California Camp. As your typical Gemini, she has many different interests that she enjoys weaving into her priestessing work: the magic of song and dance, herbalism, women's blood mysteries, sacred sexuality, and shamanism. She also very much enjoys incorporating the magic of other mystical traditions (with reverence and respect) into her work, and holds a Master's in Women's Spirituality from Naropa University, in addition to working as a body worker and childbirth doula in her community. Her daily practice incorporates writing, music, yoga, and immersing herself in nature. She has taught and organized for three years with Free Activist Witchcamp, as well as working with young adults at Teen Earth Magic and Witchlets and teaching classes within the San Francisco Bay Area community. When not hanging out with witches in the woods or by the waters, she can often be found taking a nap in the sun with her cat, Emily-Moon.
